qipu data (San Francisco), v1 1. Facts read from public records, and the tables built by qipu (claims, decisions, extraction tables, places, persons, roles, instruments, sources, pages, runs and the SQLite copy) are dedicated to the public domain under CC0 1.0 Universal: https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/ Exception: claims whose text paraphrases Wikipedia (street and neighbourhood timelines, door stories) carry `licence = CC-BY-SA-4.0` and stay under that licence; claims citing the Statewide Database carry its terms. To the extent possible under law, qipu has waived all copyright and related rights to this data. Attribution is appreciated, not required: "qipu data, built from records at the Internet Archive". 2. The sources keep their own rights. We point at them (archive.org pages, DataSF datasets, Wikipedia articles, OpenSFHistory photos, Library of Congress Sanborn maps ...); we do not copy the scans. Each row's source and, where the source file states it, its licence are in the data (`claims.licence`, `sources.licence`). Photos and recordings linked from OpenSFHistory or the Live Music Archive are linked and credited only; their terms apply. 3. Quotes are kept short (at most 300 characters) and only to show where a statement comes from. 4. Privacy: names of private people are withheld for 75 years (SF; 92 in Vancouver) in everything published (SQLite, Parquet, entity JSON, the explorer), including names inside model-written summaries; raw quotes of embargoed records are not published. Corrections and takedowns: through www.qipu.org. 5. The supervisor roster (names, years served) comes from Wikipedia's "Members of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors" (CC BY-SA 4.0 text; we use facts only) and Wikidata (CC0). 6. The explorer page uses sql.js-httpvfs (Apache-2.0, vendor/sql.js-httpvfs.LICENSE).
